Here I go, off to Phoenix. Perhaps a full report when I return. Meanwhile, a small rant: Why do large corporations (such as Corn Products Corporation) protect their tax expenditures so vigilantly as to result in the loss of millions of dollars to local school districts? They may be correct, in the business sense, but aren't they also decimating the potential of the local workforce in taking such actions? There are hidden costs to everything, I suppose. And what are the schools to do? Protesting, or perhaps demanding boycotts, just hurts the local economy. It's a lose-lose situation all around. Schools are funded incorrectly, that's the problem. I wish I had a solution.
